Course Description

The EMT Refresher course provides theory and practical skills training and review at the EMT level and follows the objectives as listed in the Ohio Administrative Code. This course may be used for any of the following:
•          Prerequisite for completion of National Registry testing
•          Continuing education for NR or state of Ohio
•          Transition course to maintain NR certification

This course will consist of 30 hours.  Of those 30 hours, 8 hours needs to be on trauma, 6 hours on pediatric, 6 hours of medical emergencies, 2 hours of geriatric, 2 hours of cardiology, 2 hours of airway and ventilation, 2 hours of EMS operations and 2 hours of obstetrics and gynecology.  These hours will be obtained by joining an EMT course when the course covers these topics.
